In downtown Pittsburgh, you'll encounter great entertainment, outstanding shopping and inviting restaurants at every turn. As you wander our very walkable Downtown, you'll find the headquarters for five fortune 500 companies, four major department stores, a state park with a towering fountain, a thriving cultural district, a dazzling and diverse sampling of architecture, shops of every description and the cleanest subway system in America. The 2009 MISS PENNSYLVANIA USA® Pageant, which will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport Hotel, is currently scheduled to be held November 28 - 30, 2008. The hotel is directly connected to the Pittsburgh International Airport by an enclosed walkway with people movers. Approximately 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. The contemporary European flair of the decor brings an elegant, modern touch to this boutique-style hotel, while balancing the need for a functional work environment. The newly remodeled hotel's guestrooms and public space reflect a modern and contemporary feel while maintaining a classic and timeless appeal. Curving lines play throughout from lighting to furniture to the carpet - reminiscent of graceful wings in flight whether it is that of a bird or airplane. Design elements not ordinarily found in hotel rooms create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Cherry wood tones accompany rich hues of periwinkle, gold, moss green and slate blue. Custom designed suites add a touch of simplistic luxury suitable for meetings or entertaining. The Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA Pageant and Miss Pennsylvania USA Pageant are official preliminaries to the MISS USA® and MISS TEEN USA® Pageants.
